As the end of school approaches and summer plans are just around the corner, please take a few minutes to mark this important date in your book! You and your child won't want to miss this event!

Classroom rosters and bus schedules will be posted at this time. This is a great opportunity for students to meet their teachers, meet their new classmates and drop off their school supplies.

There will be an opportunity to tour the campus!

We will have tables set up for parents to volunteer for the many wonderful events and activities that are hosted by the APT.

Come check out the new Cherokee Spirit Wear!

Our Cafeteria Manager will be on hand for you to open or replenish your child's lunch account.

The vendors for the after school programs will be present. This is a great opportunity to register your child for the various activities we offer.

The Kids Club will be on site and available for those who are interested in after school child care.

And last but not least, we are still in need of many wonderful volunteers to help with set-up the day before Orientation and at the event itself! If you would like to help, please contact Andrea Flannery or Debbie Stouse for more information.

We look forward to seeing you at the 2015-2016 Orientation Celebration!
Sponsor A Laptop”

We are asking our committed Cherokee families to help support our kids’ needs of laptops in the classrooms, and your donation is crucial.

For a tax deductible $300 donation, your family or child’s name will be engraved on a placket that will be placed on a laptop as a remembrance for years to come! Please help us put 100 laptops in our classrooms by May 21, 2015!

Dear Cherokee Community,

What a wonderful year it's been. We have been working hard as a community all year, and once again, the hard work has indeed paid off! We had a strong fundraising year, raising just over $161,000, thanks to your generosity. You stepped up every time you were asked, and gave back to our school through your funds and your time. THANK YOU Cherokee!

Please review our dollars spent for 2014-2015, along with our anticipated costs for 2015-2016 in the APT cabinet right outside the school office.

A few weeks ago, the APT sent a survey to the community asking how you would like to see your fundraising dollars spent next year. We have tallied the results of that survey, and have just passed the 2015-2016 APT budget, which will once again support hiring instructional aides and math and reading specialists for our children. The remainder of our funds will continue to support our staff, students, facility and campus in a multitude of ways. As you can see, your funds truly make an impact on our school, so let’s keep our tradition of fundraising going strong next year! With out your support, Cherokee would not be what it is.

We look forward to seeing you all in the fall at our Orientation Celebration. Mark your calendars now for Friday, August 7, from 1-3pm, where you can see friends, meet your teachers, bring in your school supplies, and sign up for various opportunities to get involved. There is something for everyone.

It has been an honor and privilege working with you all this year and we thank you. We look forward to continuing the momentum in 2015-2016 with many new faces joining us both on the board and in our Cherokee Community. It is with gratitude that Francie Donkerbrook will continue this momentum and welcome Debbie Stouse as Vice President.

Wishing you an enjoyable, relaxing and safe summer!
