SEPACS Mission, Goals & Web Site: SEPACS mission is to encourage a welcoming school culture throughout Scottsdale Unified School District for students with special needs where their diverse educational, emotional, and social needs are recognized, respected, and met.  SEPACS goals include:
Improve communication between the parents, schools, administration, staff and organizations within the schools.
Educate parents, administration, and students concerning issues related to Special Education.
Provide sensitivity training to the general school population and teachers for the well-being of the students with special needs.

SEPACS maintains a web site with excellent resources for special education related issues and a blog for parents to share information with one another. Visit www.sepacs.org.

SEPACS Meetings: SEPACS hosts meetings during the school year on a variety of topics.  The first 3 meetings are at 6:30 to 8:30 PM on these dates:

Cherokee Connection: Cherokee’s APT has added a SEPACS Representative Position.  The key roles of this position are to:
Bring information to Cherokee APT and Cherokee teachers, administration, parents and APT regarding SEPACS meetings and resources;
Interface with teachers, parents, administration and APT at Cherokee and bring their questions/needs to SEPACS; and
Determine ways to make special education students and their families feel more a part of the Cherokee community.
